UI/UX Designer

TalentLink is recruiting a UI/UX Designer for our client, a leading player in the banking industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, innovation-driven digital team, where you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experiences across a variety of digital banking platforms. You will be a key player in designing user interfaces and shaping digital experiences that meet both business goals and the evolving expectations of customers in an increasingly digital world.

As a UI/UX Designer within the Digital Department, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers, product managers, developers, and marketing professionals to create user-centric designs that are aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. This role places a strong emphasis on both the user experience and interface design, with the ultimate goal of creating functional and visually appealing designs that drive customer satisfaction and business success.

Key Responsibilities

User Research and Experience Design

  • Conduct thorough user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into customer needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Develop comprehensive user personas and customer journey maps that inform design decisions.
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive user flows and wireframes, ensuring that design solutions meet user needs and expectations.
  • Participate in regular design reviews and usability testing, iterating designs based on feedback and data.

 

Interface Design

  • Lead the creation of visually compelling, user-friendly interfaces for mobile apps, web applications, and digital banking platforms, ensuring designs are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Design interactive elements and micro-interactions that enhance user engagement and usability across all platforms.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes and design assets, collaborating with front-end developers to ensure designs are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain consistency across all digital interfaces by developing and following a comprehensive style guide and UI design system.

 

Collaboration and Innovation

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that designs align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall brand experience.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in UI/UX design, including emerging technologies, industry best practices, and design tools, and incorporate them into your work to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Innovate and contribute to the evolution of the bank’s digital presence, proposing new ideas and design solutions that improve user experience and engagement.

 

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct design audits and review user feedback to identify areas for improvement in current designs and processes.
  • Analyze design metrics and user feedback to refine and optimize user interfaces and experiences.
  • Ensure the design of all digital touchpoints complies with accessibility standards, regulatory guidelines, and usability best practices.
  • Work with development teams during the implementation phase to ensure designs are translated accurately and with the highest quality.

 

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio that showcases previous work in creating user-centric digital experiences.
  • Experience in the banking, fintech, or financial services industry is highly desirable, but not essential.

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (familiarity is preferred, but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of design systems, responsive design, and accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience in creating prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to work with developers to bring designs to life, ensuring design integrity is maintained during the development process.

 

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about user behavior and design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to take feedback and iterate on designs.
